If you found this post it’s most likely because you searched Google for the Ask Gary Vee book. Also, it’s most likely before the Ask Gary Vee Book ever came out yet. However, you are probably a hardcore Vayniac of the Vayner Nation and are looking for the dates on when the Ask Gary Vee book is coming out.
Although, he has visually answered questions (over 250 of them) on YouTube the book has answers to other questions not documented yet on YouTube and it’s a great way to give back to Gary for sharing his insights on social media, business, and life.
We think this will be one of his best books since Crush it because it’s again about the execution and his answers from actually living a lot the questions asked vs. theory.
01:54 -If you ever became the CEO of a local chamber of a community of 12k, what would be the first thing you would do?
Create infrastructure to connect to each person one by one and ask them what the chamber can do for them (reverse engineer) and get everyone aligned to the sweet spot.
04:42– What is one of your favorite questions asked by an interviewee for a position at VaynerMedia?
Gary sorta answers honestly at first meaning he doesn’t necessarily want the interviewee asking him questions or asking him something they googled ect.. He likes when it’s an honest question overall, no pandering!
Gary said he is having a ton of success with the wine deals instagram selling a ton of wine and is going to do more with it going into the 4th quarter. Gary is a big proponent of gaming it with “tagging” people, getting people to comment, and knowing that people watch what the people are following are liking and commenting on. It considers instagram early email and early Twitter.
11:56– What is your biggest goal heading into the homestretch of 2015?
The Ask Gary Vee book is coming! And Gary is ready to set up VaynerMedia for it’s biggest year, get his venture capital in order, wrap up the Ask Gary Vee book, focus on a few businesses he is deeper involved with, and get deeper into HR (human resources).
14:03– When do you know it’s time to hire an assistant?
Gary shares his personal assistant experiences with Matt and Brandon and said it was more about being places and needing people to take on businesses he was still attached to like Wine Library has he grew his other businesses and brand. (hacking it with other human beings..once he felt like he was disrespecting other people)

On this episode of the Ask Gary Vee Show where Gary Vaynerchuk answers questions about business, social media, and life submitted to him via social platforms like Instagram and Twitter Gary talks about his take on choosing clients.
4:26 – Do you (VaynerMedia) take on any client if the price is right? Or do you turn down based on your values or beliefs?
After answering the question about how they determine what clients VaynerMedia takes based on industry or company values Gary goes into the following questions about McDonalds, discipline, and if he needs to start doing something.
7:29 – What’s the best way to deal with someone who is constantly negative about entrepreneurship? What if it’s your mom? 10:22 – What do you think of McDonald’s response to Burger King’s “Peace McWhopper” idea? Seems like they missed a big opportunity. 14:15 – How can I best discipline myself? How do I change my behavior? 16:12 – With everything that you do…is there anything that you feel you need to start doing?
2:25 – If you were to start VaynerMedia today without anyone knowing who you were, how would you find talent?
Gary’s answer is very insightful. First he says without the leverage in the social media space and proven results to leverage you shouldn’t even be opening a social media agency just because you know how to snapchat and are twenty three.
Secondly, if you really want to create social agency you need to have the skills first but then you need to network (go to meetup.com), join the community and don’t fake the funk.
These are the rest of the questions he answered.
5:57 – In a Snapchat/Instagram world, is video quality (lighting, etc not content) more essential than in years’ past? 8:04 – Some social media experts advocate deleting your old tweets or posts because without context they might not make sense. What do you think? 10:48 – What is the number one characteristic that you want to pass down to your children, and the number one characteristic you hope they don’t get from you? 14:29 – I’m thirteen years old and I just wrote my first book. If you were in my shoes, what would be the first step to promoting the book?
Learn more about what Gary Vaynerchuk shares about business, life, and social media marketing at this 2015 Keynote at Internet Week. Another funny thing is “attention” is one of his new golden nuggets and main themes of this talks lately and its the whole game along with reverse engineering.
Gary is big on Attention in his keynotes in 2015 and it’s very similar to what Grant Cardone has preached for years. You need attention before you sell or influence anyone. Gary gets a ton of attention because he actually executes.
If you pay attention to this video you will find a golden Facebook dark post tactic where Gary has turned WineLibrary into a Buzzfeed type content site and uses specific content with Facebook ads to hyper target people and sell over $18,000 of wine. As he points out 99% of you that read this and watch the keynote below won’t execute this strategy.
If you don’t watch the videos let us clue you in on something. It’s all about the attention.
The single most important way to sell, succeed, be successful and grow your business is to follow the attention and get attention. It goes back to the sales 101 mantra of people buy from people they KNOW (first), like and trust. And if people don’t know you, your brand, or your business they can never get to like or trust you.
Getting attention and following attention is the whole game. It’s why Google is the number one most visited site in the US (they help people get attention relevant to their sites) and why now Facebook is growing revenue especially via mobile phones via ads against the stream that give their attention to the app all day long.
You have to learn how to get attention, manage the attention you get and then once you get the attention how to use it to help people and grow your brand or business.
If you like this concept and want to learn more definitely check out these videos and any you can find by Gary or Grant on YouTube. Search their names and sort/filter by “upload date” to get the most recent video content and keynotes they are putting out. They execute and have proven results. Stop wasting time listening to people that haven’t done shit yet and start learning and earning more out of life from these top two Sales and Social Media business professionals.
