5 Things You Can Learn From Kanye West Twitter

This week Kanye West’s wife Kim Kardashian tweeted one of his new tracks called Real Friends that you can listen to directly on his website right now (Jan 2016, in case he changes it by the time you read this)

This had me thinking how he uses his website, Twitter and social media accounts to promote what he does. Whether you like him or hate him Kanye West has grown his net worth being him without worrying about what anyone else thinks and there is something to be said about that.

And when you look at Kanye West’s Twitter account you can learn even more..

1. He only follows his wife…

Kanye could care less about “following” other people whether its other famous people, musicians, or fans.. This is a good lesson on life. Be you, do you, and Focus on your own shit and people you love or family. Granted this just means he follows his wife Kim Kardashian but doesn’t mean he doesn’t read @replies or things people Tweet him on Twitter. However, looking at his engagement he hasn’t replied or RTed anyone for months or maybe ever from what I can tell.

2. His idol is Steve Jobs…

In a recent tweet Kanye shares a video of Apple’s former CEO Steve Jobs and says his idol. I bring this up because as mentioned before he doesn’t follow anyone to give them that attention on Twitter but he does many times mention people has worked with, idolizing and even gives his respect when recently David Bowie passed away.

3. His only like is about LIFE which really shows his philosophy of getting the most out of this one life you possibly can…

4. He has no bio and just points people directly to his site

This is a great lesson because it shows how much he takes ownership in his own stuff. Even when he released his new track real friends as I mentioned above he uses his entire website to play that one song and have people listen to what he created there vs. using other platforms or going along with the industry with spotify, itunes, or Jay Z’s tidal.

5. Collectively, he is different

If you look at how Kanye West is in the media, on social media, on Twitter, ect… He never waivers from being himself. He is one of kind plays on his strengths and doesn’t care about the opinions of others. Again, his success and Kanye’s net worth has proven the execution of a musical masterpiece of his work.

  2. Jay Z saw something special in Kanye to become a mentor and let him help produce his Blueprint album
  3. Kanye always disrupts the social media and internet space and gets massive attention
  4. Kanye never changes who he is and is still successful at what he does

We think they do the best job so no reason for us to repeat all of that here again.

Kanye Omari West was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 8, 1977. He left college to pursue a musical career, producing tracks for Jay-Z while polishing his demo. He released The College Dropout in 2004. It sold 2.6 million copies and won Best Rap Album. His follow-up releases have been equally successful and West has become a celebrity famous for his outrageous and entertaining statements

It’s always good to understand where someone comes from and their background because it helps define a person and teaches you about them. Knowing where someone started and where they are now is part of the story. And Kanye’s background makes his growth story and how he built his net worth to an estimated $100 million to $145 million dollars.

In his story you can see he is was born in Atlanta and grew up in Chicago after his parents divorced when he was 3. He went to high school where his charitable foundation helps kids not drop out of high school in memory of his mother. Again, showing a side of Kanye West people don’t talk about.

However, in his story you can see he persevered towards something he loved and had a passion for (music) no matter the obstacle and drop out of art college to help produce Jay Z’s Blueprint which sold over 400,000 copies (results).

The two things in any success story is doing something you love and have a passion for and can you get results or make money with it!

Another element of how Kanye West grew his net worth is staying in his lane (niche) and NOT CARING ABOUT WHAT ANYONE says to effect who he really is. He might be listening to what people say about him but one thing you will notice Kanye stays Kanye.
